Blaze went to the Fairground with his mom and dad and there was an accident while he was on the Ferris wheel, there was a fire! His legs got burned, and his ankles got scars on them from wires.

Blaze gets an imaginary friend every July because that's the month his mom died from cancer, and he has them because he thinks that they will help him be brave to ride the Ferris wheel. They never help him, every time they don't he digs a whole a size of a basketball, and buries them in the hole.

It never really said how it got fixed but I think it got fixed by him meeting Joselle.

When Blazes mom died he had dreams about Flamming Snakes around his ankles.

The problem got fixed when he stoped having he Dreams.

Blaze had no idea who Joselle was or that she was on his hill writing words with his stones and other stones.

This problem got fixed by him seeing the words on Joselle arm. And him getting mad. but than forgiving her, because he couldnt live without her.

At the beginning of the story blaze was a loner with no friends except for his dad. He was also afraid of Big Dogs.

But at the end of the story Blaze Had a Best Friend "Joselle" and he wasn't afraid of Big Dogs. And he didn't really think of hid mom that much.

I think the illustrator did this as the cover because its the most important part of the book. This part of the book is important because its when Blaze sees the words that Joselle was writing on the hill were also on her arm.

Joselle puts the words "FIRE YOURE ON FIRE" On the hill. She wanted Blaze to have a worse life than she does.
