Your feet are buried in the mud

A million bald men came out of the wilderness, their bodies covered in mud and their heads gleaming in the sunlight.
Their eyes lit their bodies into embers and they set the world on fire

I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which i have goodnes, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, "Stay awhile."
