This film was one the audience could have fun playing along with, pulling off the emotions of horror and comedy. Scream was unique at its time of release for featuring characters that were aware of real world horror films and openly discussed this knowledge in the film itself while scream made connections to other horror movies. This horror movie is known for the mask, being an all time kids favorite to wear. Scream is a horror film consisting other horror films.

This horror movie cemented the image of Dracula in the minds of audiences. This is the film that has continued on the vampire villain. Dracula was the trendsetter of vampires viewers say, looking back at what this horror film continued on.

3. Night of the Living Dead (1968)

This was the first zombie apocalypse film. "zombification" was taken to a whole new level when this horror movie introduced the apocalypse, leading to current films like The Walking Dead. This film touched base with everything were afraid of: death, desecration of the flesh, cannibalism, brainwashing, disease and hopelessness.

This film is the peak of the cycle of classic monster pictures. this movie was more detailed and provided amazing quality, making it a boom the second time around. Speech was brought to this film as well as love, humor, and of course horror making it so memorable.

This film set a new level of acceptance for violence, defiant behavior and sexuality. The first psychoanalytical thriller. This horror movie wasn't based on traditional plots, which played with the viewers, making them anxious and uncertain. A new, more violent and graphic, kind of horror movie.
