A Peaceful Start in Nature – Zbilje, Slovenia

Today started off in the best way possible. I woke up early in the morning and headed out wit my family to a small town in Slovenia called Zbilje. It’s a truly beautiful and peaceful place, filled with nature and tranquility. For anyone looking to escape the noise and stress of city life, Zbilje offers the perfect getaway.

After a short car ride, we arrived in Zbilje. The moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by an absolutely breathtaking view. The lake, with its crystal-clear water, surrounded by lush green forests, looked like something out of a painting. The whole area was glowing with the freshness of spring the trees had just begun to bloom, and everything was vibrant with life. It felt like nature had just woken up from its winter sleep.

We decided to take a walk along the lake, and it was pure serenity. Birds were singing, the air was fresh, and the peacefulness of the surroundings made me feel instantly calm and happy. One of the most magical parts of the walk was the swans. There were quite a few swimming gracefully in the water, and one was even resting calmly near the shore. Seeing a swan this close, so relaxed in its natural habitat, was a special experience.

After about an hour of walking, we started to get hungry. Thankfully, there was a cozy little restaurant right by the lake. We picked a table with a great view and decided to have lunch there. The menu had plenty of options, but I went for a vegetable pizza and I’m so glad I did! The crust was perfectly baked, the vegetables were fresh and colorful green peppers, tomatoes, sweetcorn, zucchini, and mushrooms and the flavor was amazing. I ordered a fizzy drink to go with it, which made the meal even more satisfying. If you’re a fan of vegetables, you’ll immediately spot the best restaurant nearby when you visit. The atmosphere and the food are definitely worth it.

After lunch, we sat and chatted for a while, soaking in the view and enjoying the calm. As the afternoon wore on and the air grew a little cooler, we decided it was time to head back. We got in the car and made our way home, already reminiscing about the peaceful time we’d just had and flipping through the photos we’d taken.

By the time we arrived home, I was a little tired, but in a good way. The kind of tired you feel after a fulfilling day spent outdoors. I headed to my room, but before winding down completely, I made sure to finish my school homework. After that, I lay down in bed, thinking about the swans, the lake, and that amazing pizza. It wasn’t long before I drifted off to sleep.

All in all, today was a peaceful, refreshing day just the kind of beginning I hoped for. Spending time in nature, with the people I love, reminded me how important it is to take a break, slow down, and just enjoy the moment. Starting my blog with such a calm and joyful day makes me even more excited for the days to come.

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings…

I started my day feeling fresh and energized. For breakfast, I had a classic and delicious combination: an omelet, cheese, olives, jam, and bread. It was simple, yet the perfect way to begin a new day.

After breakfast, the weather was too beautiful to stay inside, so I took my bike and went for a short ride. Cycling in the fresh air, listening to birds, and feeling the cool breeze was incredibly relaxing. It was a quiet, peaceful start to the day.

Later on, my family and I visited Jezersko, a breathtaking place filled with nature. Forests, mountains, clear skies everything was perfectly connected. We spent almost the whole day there, walking around, exploring the area, and taking in the scenery. It felt like being inside a painting, with the peacefulness of nature surrounding us.By the evening, we returned home and I decided to surprise my family by making beyti kebab with my own hands. Cooking for my family gave me so much joy, and they truly enjoyed it. There’s something so special about preparing a homemade meal and seeing your loved ones appreciate it. HOW TO MAKE BEYTİ (My recipe) First, take some ground beef or lamb. Add salt, pepper, and some spices. Mix everything well. Then, shape the meat into long, thin rolls.

Next, put the meat rolls on a grill or in a pan. Cook them until they are brown and cooked inside. Turn them often to cook evenly. While the meat cooks, warm some flat bread or lavash. When the meat is ready, put it on the bread. Now , roll the bread with the meat inside, like a wrap. Cut the roll into pieces. Finally, pour some tomato sauce or yogurt on top. You can also add some melted butter or spices.

🥙

Ingredients I used for my Beyti Kebab:

500g minced meat (preferably beef)

1 grated onion

2 cloves of garlic (crushed)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tsp ground cumin

Fresh parsley (chopped)

Flatbread or lavash to wrap the kebabs

Yogurt (for serving)

Tomato sauce (to pour over)

Butter (to sizzle the sauce)

Today was a perfect mix of movement, nature, and family time and ending it with a warm, homemade dinner made it even better. Jezersko was truly magical, and I’m so glad I got to experience its peaceful beauty with the people I love.

Early in the morning, cycling through Ljubljana’s quiet streets, watching the city awaken was mesmerizing. The first rays of sunlight reflected off historic building facades, and trees along the riverbank swayed gently. Upon reaching Prešeren Square, the pink Franciscan Church and the elegant Triple Bridge were striking.I have not been inside the church in Prešeren, but I think it is as crowded inside as it is outside. The square’s vibrancy was enhanced by melodies from street musicians. Birdsong, bicycle bells, and cheerful conversations conveyed the city’s energy. On the funicular ascending to Ljubljana Castle, the soft sound of the rails and the cabin’s movement were exhilarating.

Aromas of fresh coffee and pastries from nearby cafés were enticing. While strolling through the castle’s gardens, the refreshing scent of flowers and greenery enveloped us.

At midday, we enjoyed a refreshing drink at a café in the square. If you’re looking to try a matcha latte in Ljubljana, there are a few great cafe options in the city center, such as Stow 2 Go, located near Prešeren Square, which is known for its high-quality coffee and matcha latte options.I bought it from there today and I like it.Holding the bicycle handlebars in the morning chill reflected the freshness of the day. Walking on the square’s stone pavement, the smoothness underfoot was noticeable. At the castle, you can see beautiful views of the city and the mountains. Inside, there are museums and exhibitions. You can learn about the history of Ljubljana and Slovenia.Touching the stone walls of the castle, one could feel the traces of history.Ljubljana Castle is a very special place. It is a symbol of the city. Many tourists and locals like to visit it every year. The castle also has old rooms with furniture from the past. You can see big wooden tables, chairs, and old lamps. It feels like you are traveling back in time.

There are also some exhibitions about the history of Ljubljana and the castle. You can learn about kings, queens, and knights who lived there. Sometimes, there are special tours where guides tell stories about the castle’s past.Ljubljana Castle is very old. It was built a long time ago, around the 11th century. The castle was made by people who wanted to protect the city.

A long time ago, many people wanted to attack Ljubljana. The castle was built on a hill to keep the city safe. From the castle, guards could see far away and watch for danger.

The castle was also a home for important leaders and soldiers. They lived there to protect the city and control the area.

Over the years, the castle was changed and repaired many times. It became stronger and bigger. Today, it is a symbol of Ljubljana’s history and culture.

The castle shows us how people lived a long time ago. It is a special place for learning about the past. The castle has events like concerts or festivals. These events make the castle more lively and fun.I went to an open air cinema once, the atmosphere was amazing.

This third day in Ljubljana allowed us to explore the city’s historical and cultural richness through all five senses. Every moment was an unforgettable experience. :) See you in my next blog.

DAY 4 🍳🌮🍚🧇MY TURKİSH RESTAURANT EXPERİENCE AND SOME İNFORMATİON ABOUT LJUBLJANA

When I woke up in the morning, I had one more day to travel around Slovenia! I was excited as usual because today I was going to go somewhere from my own country. There is a Turkish restaurant called NASA KUHİNJA in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is in Šiška (very close to my school). We went with my family. The menu was rich. There were sarma, içli köfte, çiğ köfte, köfte, chicken and meat döner, yağlama, bazlama, gözleme and more. Desserts were Baklava Rice Pudding Cake. As for drinks, there was ayran, tea, soft drinks, soda. Frankly, it was a very nice experience for me because for a long time, there was no one speaking Turkish except me and my family. The interior of the place was cute and small, we could smell the food even before entering. We ordered food and waited. I ordered sarma and çiğ köfte. The food arrived in a short time. Frankly, it tasted very good. Especially those who want to try Turkish flavors or have liked it before can definitely choose this place. Afterwards, we went to a shopping mall in the Šiška district. We went to Aleja Street in Ljubljana, where shoppers can go. If you are coming here, you can come a little early. It can be crowded during lunch and dinner hours. If you are coming to Ljubljana, I think you should travel by bike because you can have more comfortable and beautiful experiences by bike. I can recommend the BicikeLJ bike rental app, which is very useful for both tourists and locals and has reasonable prices. You can see bike stops everywhere. Renting a bike is simple and cheap. You can use a card or an app on your phone to rent a bike. The bike stations are in many places, like near the city center, parks, and train stations. It is easy to find a bike because the stations are everywhere. You can take a bike from one station and return it to another. Many people like to ride bikes because the city is green and clean. The bike paths are safe and well marked.

Using a bike helps you see the city faster and enjoy the fresh air. You can visit many places like the old town, the river, and parks by bike.Bike rental prices for these bikes are

free for the first hour

€1.00 for the second hour

€2.00 for the third hour

€4.00 for each additional hour

If you visit Ljubljana, try to use the bike stations. It is a good way to explore the city and enjoy the fresh air. By the way, I would like to talk a little about Ljubljana and Slovenia. The population of Ljubljana is approximately 292,988. It is the capital and largest city of Slovenia. You can also find a dragon figure in almost every shop or restaurant in Ljubljana. This story is based on the Legend of Greek mythology. A hero named Jason defeats a dragon near the city and the winged dragon has become the symbol of the city ever since.

Hello guys! Last week I visited the Ljubljana Opera House. It is a beautiful building in the city center. The building is old and elegant. It had white walls and big columns. The inside looked very historical. I bought my ticket online. It was easy. When you enter, you are greeted by a crowd, everyone shows their tickets to the attendant and goes upstairs. The Ljubljana Opera House (or ljubljanska operna hiša) is an Opera House in Ljubljana the capital of Slovenia The seat of the national opera and ballet company, the Ljubljana National Theatre it serves as the national opera building of the country. It stands at 1 Župančič Street (Župančičeva 1) between the Slovenia Parliament building, on one hand, and the National Museum and the National Gallery on the other hand. https://www.opera.si/ If you want to learn more I recommend you to visit this site

The opera started at 8:30 pm. I arrived early. There were many concert and opera performance halls inside. It was big and beautiful. There were many people. Everyone was wearing beautiful clothes.

The show was a ballet, the atmosphere was nice, the artists were very good.Ljubljana’s opera is a special place. The building looks nice from outside. When I went inside, I saw a big stage and many seats. I really liked the show. I liked the costumes and the lights. The orchestra plays many instruments like violins, drums, and flutes. The music is very loud and soft at different times. It makes people feel happy, sad, or excited.

Before the show, people wear nice clothes. They talk and wait quietly for the performance to start. They made the show more exciting. The story was about love and friendship.

The opera is a great way to enjoy music, stories, and acting all in one place.

The people in the audience were quiet and happy. After the show, they clapped and smiled. The opera is a good way to learn about culture and history. It is also fun to see how the singers and actors work together on stage.By the way, I definitely plan on coming here again. If you get tickets, I suggest you don't miss this one either.

After the opera, I went out with my friend. The night was cool and calm. The lights of the opera were visible outside, the lights and atmosphere of the opera were reflected outside. The Opera House looked great with the lights. Since this is Ljubljana Square, there were cafes everywhere. Since it was night, we could only find one and decided to sit down. It was a small and dimly lit cafe. You can see the photo I took while sitting in the cafe on my blog. We had a few drinks and the night was over .It was a wonderful evening. See you in the next blog 👋👋

I had been there parks, mountains. You can come to Slovenia Ljubljana because Ljubljana’s air is so fresh, feel so healthy, It makes me feel happy. Sometimes I’am walking for a street tour. The streets is are so energetic, so relaxing me. In the Ljubljana streets, you can find many many bikes. Because Ljubljana’s peoples love cycling. When I go to my school, I see a lot of bikes, in the streets. By the way Ljubljana streets are so clean and very green. Everyday you can see the tourists group from another countrys or citys in the street. Ljubljana is recommended other tourists and liked other tourists. Houses in Ljubljana are very nice and different. Many houses are old, but they look beautiful.

If you visit Ljubljana, you will see many different types of houses. They all have a special style and charm. The houses show the culture and history of the city. They have colorful walls and big windows. Some houses have red roofs, and some have gray or brown roofs.Outside the city center, there are also modern houses and apartments. These houses are new and have big gardens or balconies. For me the best Ljubljana’s weather is summer. Because you can hear the birda songs. You can taste the fruits. When you walk the streets you can see shopes, stores,(like zara, mango h&m,muller)cafes, street singers and a lot of buildings, about dragons. Ljubljana is more popular about dragons. You can see the dragons in the street shopes.Sometimes I go to Tivoli Park. It’s the biggest park in the city. You can walk, run, sit or read a book. Many families come here on the weekend. There are also some small museums inside the park. In the spring, you can see flowers everywhere.I also love the old town. The old buildings are very colorful and special. The streets are small and cute. There are many bridges. The most famous one is the Triple Bridge. It’s in the center. There are always people there, taking pictures, walking, or sitting. It’s a nice place to meet friends.Ljubljana’s streets are also full of art. You can see paintings on the walls, small statues, and interesting buildings

One of the most famous places is the Triple Bridge. It connects three streets and is always full of people. Near the bridge, there are many cafes and restaurants. You can sit outside and watch the people walking by..At night, the streets are quiet and safe. The lights make the city look magical. Sometimes, there are events or music shows in the main square.Walking in the streets of Ljubljana is one of the best ways to see the city.

Today is my last blog. I went to the main square early in the morning. The weather was nice. It was sunny, but not too hot. A perfect day for walking and exploring.Ljubljana has a big open-air market. It is in the center of the city, near the river. The market is open almost every day. Many people come here: locals and tourists, young and old. The market is full of colors, sounds, and friendly people.

When I arrived, I saw many stalls. Some sold fruit and vegetables, others sold flowers or handmade things. It was a busy place, but not stressful. Everyone was relaxed. People were smiling and talking. The market had a happy and warm feeling.First, I walked past the fruit and vegetable stalls. I saw apples, strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, and more. Everything looked fresh and clean. The sellers stood behind their tables and talked with the customers. Some sellers spoke English, so it was easy to ask questions. Then I went to the part of the market with handmade items. I saw wooden spoons, leather wallets, and small ceramic plates. Some items had pictures of Ljubljana, like the famous dragon. Many tourists were looking at the stalls and buying souvenirs. I continued walking and saw more interesting things. One stall sold soaps and creams made with natural ingredients. Another stall had dried herbs and herbal teas. It was nice to see so many local and traditional products.

The market was not only a place to buy things. It was also a place to meet people and enjoy the city. There were street musicians playing music. People stopped to listen. Children danced and laughed. It made the market feel like a small festival.

Next, I walked near the river. There were more stalls under a beautiful building with stone columns. This part of the market was designed by Jože Plečnik, a famous Slovenian architect. The building was very pretty and special. I took some time to look at it and take photos.Near this area, I found flower stalls. They sold fresh flowers in many colors: red, pink, yellow, purple. The smell of the flowers was everywhere. People were buying flowers for their homes or for gifts. The flowers made the market even more beautiful.I walked slowly through the whole market. I did not rush. I looked at the items, the people, and the buildings. Everything felt calm and peaceful. It was not just a market, it was a part of the city’s life.I did not buy many things, but I enjoyed the time there. I liked watching the people and feeling the local atmosphere. Sometimes, the best part of traveling is not visiting museums or big tourist places, but just being in the moment.

Before I left, I walked one more time through the market. I wanted to remember the sounds, the colors, and the feeling of the place. Ljubljana’s market is not big like in some other cities, but it is very special. It feels real, friendly, and full of life.If you come to Ljubljana one day, I really recommend visiting this market. Come in the morning, when everything is fresh. Take your time, walk slowly, and enjoy the view.See you in other blogss
