After reading through the responses from other fellow teachers, below are a few takeaways:
1. Being a teacher is a work in progress, not a destination but a journey
2. We need to be 'merciful' towards ourselves as we reflect upon our weaknesses and also to realise that it's perfectly ok to seek help from other teachers. Seeking help is not equivalent to weakness.
3. By recognizing our strengths, we are more aware and confident of our contributions to the students and the school

I agree with Mdm Zawiyah that reflections can help teachers to be more self-aware and audit their lessons accordingly. Teachers can execute different strategies to deliver the learning objectives. However, at the end of the day, it is very important to check if the students really understand what is being taught and if the strategies are suited to the students' learning style and whether if the learning is meaningful and effective. If a teacher fails to reflect, he or she wouldn't know what works best for the students, hence a teacher would not be able to help the students to reach their full potential. Reflection may also include learning and unlearning many times, and learning best practices from our experienced colleagues. Hence, as a teacher we need to be open-minded and willing to try. [Huda]

By reflecting, teachers are like students who are working to become better versions of themselves. Teachers must display growth mindset to embrace feedback to become better in their teaching. Reflecting is assessing why the students are not learning and then trying new strategies that can improve the students’ learning.
