Yes, many people have mispronounced my name a lot. at first it's fine, since I have gotten used to it, but the more it happens in a day, the more it annoys me, because Saya isn't that different from Maya, and everyone knows how to pronounce that. But I'm used to it now.
Esperanza doesn't really feel right with her name, as if it doesn't quite fit who she actually is. She says she has a hidden self, the "real" her that "nobody sees."
Possibly, if I find it doesn't fit as much as I want to. I think that changing one's name shouldn't be as crazy as some make it out to be.
