the decision was to abolish segregation because and I quote, "separate is not equal" and segregation violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. The supreme court got rid of it entirely and allowed whites and blacks to be in the same school.
If the supreme court wouldn't of said to abolish it, imagine how school would be in todays era. Now a days there's so much diversity in the world. If schools still had segregation life wouldn't be the same. Racism would be taught to young kids just by going to school. Even though racism still exists today, if we had segregation, racism would probably be at it's highest just because of what young people are brought into.

The Supreme court mainly focuses on cases that challenge an established law, for the Supreme Court's job is to manage and update laws in case. Only updating them because of cases of course, not outright decisions without reason. In order to get your case to the Court, there are 9 judges total, 4 of which needs to agree upon resting this case to the Supreme court.
