We went for a day and a half and did a lot of things from hiking to sightseeing. This opportunity helped to push me outside of my comfort zone and also pushed me to be more independent. However we watched this particular one in Health Conditions a few weeks ago and it speaks to the stigma around addiction. Substance use disorder is something that impacts everyone and does not discriminate. The group that we ran was for options after highschool as well as what college life looks like. When we got there we realized that the group before us didn't have any older teens participating, it was 13 and younger. So this made it a little challenging for us because they all had a long way to go before even thinking about college.
