According to psychological claims and my knowledge about learning styles, I do not believe that there is such a thing as stating you are a visual learner or I am right brained, yet I do agree with the fact that every student is different a they learn distinctly at different points in time. For that reason, this is when technology comes in and plays a critical role because you can explore so much and it offers a lot to students. One of my favorite points of this article is the fact that they state the importance of teachers regardless of how important and grand technology is. There is so much that technology can offer of which encourages educational learning and helps students think and become enlightened. I also think that it has to be managed and used wisely in order to go about proficiently. That said, though the implementation of technology in the educational setting is critical, teachers are crucial as well and without them it would not work out. I used technology a lot more and the biggest thing for me was that the course and professor allowed for collaborative work. I did not expect so much group work. It came to me as unique and being honest, in the beginning I was not so happy about it. Also, I was not opened to so many conversations and active learning due to the fact that I am not used to that. However, I can sincerely say that this course has been one of my favorites and my opinion changed about collaborative work. I learned, observed, and realized that group work is essential for student's education and success. We learn so much from one another; sometimes you even learn more from your peers than from simply listening to a teacher teach monotonous all day long. I do not like presenting in front of the class at all, and though my feelings may still not change I do know that it is important and it is helpful for the students and class as a whole. This class indeed met my expectations and went over. I did not expect to learn so much about technology and its inclusion among the students. In most other courses at UCI I never even had the possibility of meeting about classmate. I would simply walk in to lecture, sit, try to focus and listen, and then walk out hoping to have grasped the information for my exams. This course was completing different: it was interacting, engaging, and the for of the lectures allowed for a successful outcome. You learn a large amount of information and in a completely different way than you would imagine. This course is full of interaction and fun activities.
