In order to achieve this goal, I believe that actual practice is assisting me greatly in gaining more experience and mastering new talents. Following that, a good mentor is assisting me in coming up with new ideas when facing problems.
To better understand this role, I think understanding the main philosophy of the centre, as well as the centre's policy, is necessary.

As an educator and a preservice teacher, my expectations would be guidance, inspiration and feedback which will help me to grow and develop the knowledge and skills required. Nurturing relationship, open ended communication, trust and respect would also be an important part of our relationship. 

Support I need: I started as a relief educator to now being a permanent position. Both roles have varied expectations. So, in my new role I beginning to understand more about planning, understanding more about being a part of an organization, making relationships with families and need support and guidance with the same.

I would love to have some feedback on the day I was in charge of the room when you were on leave. I have tried my best and still I believed that there were some missing communication between us. 
I would really appreciate if you could have informed me about your leave as i am a part time permanent. 
These are main points that I would love to discuss about to avoid any misunderstanding:
-what will be the routines 
-planning together for the activities and how should i deal with other educators who came and just sitting down.

In my opinion, a qualified teacher should have the following characteristics：
1, Quickly establish good interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with children, colleagues and parents.
2, Have the courage and ability to lead a team and also able to be an awesome team member.
 3, Understand the differences and needs of each child.
But I know there are more and that it is not easy to have all these characteristics, so could you please guide me with your years of educational experience so that I can continue my educational beliefs and become a better self?

Dear Mentor,
I am Mavis Amankwaah and l would like  you to mentor me for my VIT registration. I would ike to share with you my expectations in this whole process. As part of my philosophy is build positive relationships with people around me which makes me feel belong and respected and thats what l'm seeking for as suggested by (Hamre & Pianta cited in Peterson et al 2010, p.155) that ' A caring and responsive mentoring relationship cam provide social and emotional support to help reduce stress that may impede early educators from providing responsive care to children''. I would need your guidance on what l have to work on and motivate me on my strengths.

Again l am keen to advocacy and activism and given children their voice. I would love your support and directions on this too. Thank you
