I remember having the same name as the woman from TLC show Trading Spaces, Paige Davis, who married a man with the last name Paige. She became Paige Paige if she took his last name. Caroline is from Caroline Kennedy. Not sure why, but I think she is one of the few surviving Kennedy's so maybe it is good luck? I don't know. I think my Mother just liked certain names.

Garance is from the Revolutionnary calendar (1789), it's the name of a rose whose roots are used to produce a deep red dye since the Middle Ages. My parents heard of this name because a distant cousin in the family also has it. I have both of my parents' last names because their marriage is as equal as they can make it, that includes me. Sadly, Lamiable, my mother's name couldn't be put officially at the time (thank you patriarchy...) so it's only my "using name", the one I use everywhere.
However, I intend to make it official soon as the law changed and we are now allowed to have our mother's name (we = French citizens).

In the Sri Lankan (Tamil) culture, it's pretty common to go to a numerologist to help pick out a name. They sort of told my parents how many letters the name should have and what letters should the name include/start with in order for the child to have a "good" life. My name is not spelled how it's pronounced but I love it because I'm the only that has my name and it shows my culture and the language I grew up with. The name means cuckoo and singer, it said people with this name have a beautiful voice (I can assure you I don't XD). I have many nicknames which include, Khoogs, cokes, cookie, etc. As you can guess everyone finds my name difficult to pronounce and spell.

My mom named me after someone she knew in high school - just because she loved the name. There are so many different ways to spell my name (Michaela, Micaela, Mikhala, Mikaila, Makayla, etc.) so people spell it wrong pretty often. Some people pronounce it wrong: "Mik-eye-la", I had a gym teacher who did this a lot, but it does not happen often. The historical meaning of my name is "one who resembles God", which is interesting haha.

My last name is very special to me - it's Irish/Gaelic in origin, and I have always loved it. I just think it's cool haha. I had a teacher in the UK who used to play the "I got the power" song during attendance sometimes. I am getting married next month so my last name is going to change to a Dutch last name. But I think I will hyphenate, or just keep using Power for teaching - because it's fun to tell younger students that I have super powers or magic powers :)

My middle name, Sakuna was given by my grandma. In the Laos religion, grandparents are the one in charge of choosing the middle name. This name was given because I reminded her of a baby bird, which is also a representation of goodluck.
