Her mother lives freely and is okay with her lifestyle, while Jeanette worries. Although, Jeanette is frequently worried about her mother, she seems to be constantly embarrassed to be seen with her or talk to her in public.
       It's a little difficult to see a "good family" from what I read. Jeanette frequently has her mother on her mind, which shows how Jeanette is concerned and cares for her mother. Though, she doesn't want to be seen with her. Jeanette's mother on the other hand seems to love talking to her daughter. They communicate through a weird system. Overall I'd rate their relationship a 6.5/10 because of Jeanette's embarrassment and overall lack of communication(though there still is an effort!!).

But it seems like her mom doesnt want to change and that she is comfortable with her life. She feels like she shouldnt be the one to change instead it should be her mother since she picked that she wanted to be this way and that it is going to stay that way. It is challenging because you have 2 people that is trying to get there point across but it doesnt seem to end up in either of there brains. Jeanette wants her mom to change but she is not willing to do it. Which is challenging to Jeanette because she doesnt want to be embarassed of her mom anymore.
