He uses his art to show the truth about what is happening to our environment. He uses his art work for change. He wishes that this can open up societies mind about what is happening in our world. 

Daniel expresses his opinion through his work because he captures moments that unveil the devastation of the deforestation.
Beltrá started his career with photos of bombings by the Basque separatist organization(ETA)Euskadi Ta Askatasuna. Beltra had been a student at the Complutense University of Madrid. Following that he went on to work at EFE (EFE is the major multimedia news agency in Spain) and the Gamma photo agency while also photographing assignments for Greenpeace. He is a board member of the International League of Conservation Photographers.He moved to Seattle in 2001.

Daniel won World Press Photo Award for Contemporary Issues and World Press Photo Award for Nature.

Daniel is very well aware of the environment around him, he is caring and is very observant. 

The hotos show that the problems of terrible acts negatively effecting the environment. 

Daniel Beltra creates images that tell stories. He wants his audience to be able to question what they are seeing at first, which keeps them intrigued. 
Often times Daniel Beltra wants his audience to be able to realize that "At the end of the day, we all still live on the same planet—we all drink the same water, breathe the same air. I don’t think there’s anybody that wouldn’t want to keep that healthy."
