He was the most important Italian painter in the 14th century.  Giotto was confirmed dead on January 8, 1337.

Giotto was an artist that made paintings and frescoes during the early Renaissance. He was a student during his early life under the artist Cimabue. Later on they would both go to Rome sometime around 1280 to study at a high status school of fresco painters.
