As inspired by The Scarlet Letter they used different characters, lens, and themes to efficiently criticize The American Dream. For example, the literacy play of The American Dream by Edward Albee; Edward used characters in his play to  successfully criticise The American Dream with characters. This shows how impactful Nathaniel’s literature was and how he focused on the evil and weakness of The American Dream.
