İntroducing my school with technology by Uğur Burak KARATAŞ

As the modern facilities and the education system are improving day by day one of the most important question in the minds of the students and parents in the last years is that “Why should I choose this school?” Teaching venues: laboratories; classrooms, project classes. Learning: technological and transparent classes that are equipped with advanced technology in accordance with the active learning method. Intelligence: Various physical equipment and social infrastructure based on the intelligence of each student. Nutrition: Large, high quality and hygienic canteen and dining halls. Language: English teaching at the highest level, accompanied by teachers who are admired by their students. Examination: Professional assessment and evaluation, guidance and academic counseling, course-achievement.. Staff: Some of the qualities of teacher like being open to innovation and technology, the best in the field, self-sacrificing, high communication skills, an education enthusiast. How many of these qualities are we looking for when choosing a school where our children will continue their education? Or can our schools reach us in such a way as to tell us about such features? Together with our students, we will both rediscover our qualifications and inform each part of the society about our qualifications by using technology and various web2 tools.

Students will be able to rediscover all the qualifications of their school that they have noticed them before and give them the opportunity to introduce them with introduction videos that they will prepare using technology and web2 tools.

Our project will be realized between December and April. The project implementation plan will be prepared in cooperation with the new schools participating in the project in November. At the end of the project, an interview will be held with the students of the participating schools in response to the question, “ What did this project contribute to me?” and the impact on the students will be determined.

Students will learn about the institution where they spend the crucial parts of their lives. They will make use of their experience by taking advantage of technology, especially by using web2 tools with their entrepreneurial and creative ideas. They will also improve their cooperative learning and ICT skills. The Project will also help to raise their awareness of task sharing and awareness of belonging to the school.
