baste fitting- this is when you have cut the garment out and and used your baste thread to construct it . Your client will then try the garment on and you and make adjustments to the fit. You will mark on the garment and adjustments needed and then unpick you baste thread make adjustments, re cut and have another baste fitting to make sure you have got the perfect fit.

fell the lining- Firstly you baste your lining into your garment. making sure it has a nice and smooth line to it. Once happy with its position you will use the feeling stitch to attach the lining to the body of the garment.
