         <description><![CDATA[<div>Russo-Japanese War, (1904–05) Conflict between Russia and Japan <strong>over territorial expansion in East Asia</strong>. The Russians lost <strong>60,000 soldiers</strong> and the Japanese lost 41,000 soldiers. The military costs were high as well. And the population needs to feed the soldiers on the front. That makes the city population that there is a crisis of alimentation and the absolute monarchy doesn't help.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Russian Czar Nicholas II at the Front along with the six-foot-six tall Russian Army Commander-in-Chief Grand Duke Nicholas (standing in car) and Count Dobrinsky. Although the Czar had no military aptitude, he relieved the Grand Duke in September 1915 and took personal command of the world's largest army, with 16 million men mobilized--an army sprawled across the gigantic Eastern Front. Grigori Rasputin was in charge of saving the life of the heir to the throne of the Tsar family, during the time he was saving Tsarina's son, he gained a lot of confidence from Grigori Rasputin, something that affected when Tsarina was on the throne. Tsarina was influenced by Grigori Rasputin, so the comments, opinions, etc. of the king's advisers were hardly listened to.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rasputin was murdered in the early morning on <strong>30 December&nbsp; 1916</strong> at the home of Felix Yusupov. He died of three gunshot wounds, one of which was a close-range shot to his forehead.<br><br>He was assassinated by the King's soldiers/advisors upon seeing the great influence he had over Tsarina. The assassins are still unknown today but there are theories that he could have been assassinated by foreign (British) secret agents among many other theories.</div>]]></description>
