         <description><![CDATA[<div>Symbols:<br>-The masks symbolize how they take away the beauty<br>-The United States Handicapped General symbolizes society's broken way of fixing problems<br>-When it says "Two years in prison... for every ball i took out" symbolizes the harsh discipline that the government enforces<br>-The sash weights symbolize how because everyone was supposed to be equal, the dancer needed to be held back, so they are not as graceful<br><br>Topics:<br>-encumbrance<br>-oppression<br>-tyrannical<br>-restraint<br><br>Theme:<br>-The theme of the passage is even though people could be better than others, we all have different attributes that makes us special. The passage makes it so the government changes everyone to stay the same, they give people handicaps to be equal because Harrison was different they tried to give him some handicaps and outcast him from others so everyone could feel equal, they did the same with George and gave him handicaps to stop him from thinking. This story shows that everyone is different so they take those to make them the same.<br><br>Theme 2: The second theme in the story speaks to  the tyranuical rule as shown by the text.</div>]]></description>
