International mindedness is an inevitable solution to keep us connected. It's about mutual respect, and collective growth. We are different branches of the same tree. The feeling of oneness

An activity on 'Food' can never go wrong. So we carried out an informal potluck activity during class of Nutrition and Health. The students had to bring their staple diet and talk about pros and cons of it. Having large number of students coming from different background and locations we had large number of food to taste and talk about. Along with enjoying tasting the food, there was an interesting session which unfolded information about climate in which typical vegetation is seen, how does it affects physique and health of people, what is the cultural importance of food, different combinations of food taken around different places. All of these just not helped to find many questions which were not in the textbook but also indirectly made students aware and respect mutual cultures and habits.

A multi dimensional approach including all sciences would prepare students to create answer to most faced problems by the world like global warming, food supply, better health management, environmental depletion. Investigations, experimentation, interdisciplinary research projects prove very helpful in igniting thoughtful understanding of the problems which can in turn provide solutions to many vital problems mentioned about. It also helps them to understand the fact that Sciences and importantly biology is to be used for development and not destruction.

Biology is an expansive subject covering the entire population and its surrounding. Real life examples or incidents co related with teaching topics provide a clear insight about the place, people and problems. When we discuss about the reports of WHO or other international agencies in our activity class, it provides a clear understanding of different areas like the food scarcity and resulting malnutrition in a specific place due to particular problem, epidemic or infectious disease outbreak in an area and its effects etc. This makes them aware about different places, conditions and it's effects on health of people.
