I was asked to do a presentation about me and deliver it in front of the class. This was the first step in helping me to gain confidence of presenting in front of the class. I did a few things well such as looking at the audience and not just looking at the board while I was presenting. However, I could have spoke in a different tone and not just the same one the whole time.

While I am refereeing I have to speak to all the players in a calm manner so they understand exactly what I expect from them while they are playing. During some of the games I have to bring players to the side and just either tell them to calm down or what they did was wrong and how they could improve it to help them make their overall game better.

While I was applying for college I had to speak to see if the course was right for me so that I could get on the course. For this I had to speak clearly and had to ask if there was any exams and ask what was on the course specifically so that I could be 100% sure that it was the right course for me.

Teamwork

While playing football you have to work as a team in order to succeed. Every week I play football with ten other people all working together in order to succeed. We go through a lot of emotions and this helps us to work together when we are on the same page. Last week we won on penalties in a cup game to go through the next round, this will give us great confidence when we play in the next round of the cup to go on and maybe win again, but hopefully not on penalties because it was way too stressful.

During induction week we had to work in teams in order to learn each others name and get to know each other a little bit, so when we started college properly we knew each other and could talk about something and just really make some new friends. From this I made a few new friends with other people who play and watch football.

While I am refereeing I have to work with the coaches and linesman to make the game as fair as possible so that both teams have an equal chance of winning. This is possible with everyone being on the same page.

At Upperwood I am helping the PE teacher to deliver PE lessons. I am enjoying doing this even though it is quite challenging at the moment I am unsure if I want to pursue this as a career.
