“Learning doesn’t belong to a single subject—it thrives at the intersections. When students use questioning strategies from science in history class, or visual models from math in language arts, they become more than learners—they become thinkers. Yet, in many classrooms, strategies are locked inside subjects like secrets. Real learning happens when students are taught how to transfer what they know from one context to another. That’s when learning sticks. Teachers should be less concerned about covering content and more focused on uncovering thinking. Strategies like metacognition, collaboration, and visual mapping should travel with students from math to music, from lab reports to literature.”
