         <description><![CDATA[<div>This learning outcome is directly related to three other learning outcomes known as PW 1, PW 3 and NOS 4 which can be viewed on the poster below. When unpacking this learning outcome and teaching students the topics around this outcome students are indirectly introduced to the learning incorporated in these other outcomes. For example in calculating length of an object (PW2) students need to be able to select and use the appropriate equipment (PW1). This demonstrates the links between these outcomes. Links may also be created with CW1 outcome regarding the mass of an object after physical and chemical changes. The links between these outcomes support student learning and allow them to build on their knowledge as they progress in their studies.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On the poster below the key skills for junior cycle are explained. In my planning i aimed to cover these skills and develop them within students through numerous methods. In the unit attached there is an explanation of the key skills which were covered in these few weeks in my rationale for structuring of content. These include working with others, communication, being numerate and literate, being creative and managing information and thinking. These skills were enhanced throughout the unit and evidence of their incorporation can be seen in the attached lesson plan through group work, key words, calculation questions and inquiry activities.</div>]]></description>

I tried to incorporate this approach into all my teaching throughout the 8 weeks. This method worked very well especially throughout experiments by letting students work together to develop hyothesis and methods. Students enjoyed the challenge and it worked well in my classes.</div>]]></description>
