We also decided on the songs we would do, I suggested we pick one each at the meeting so we could focus on learning them and get straight into practising them the next time we met as a group.

Genre-wise we have decided on grunge/metal renditions of our four songs.

We agreed that we will film and edit together all our meetings to create music videos of our songs, to then play at our venue, most likely a pub with a projector and invite people to them. we also considered social media livestreams like on YouTube.

We also realised that we would need to reduce our number of songs to three, as we only progressed with two songs in our first rehearsal. We realised it would take longer than we realised.

Two members were late so me and the other band member decided to use the time practically and work on the songs regardless, this showed professionalism, since we used our time efficiently and showed our care for creating a successful project.

we decided to book a studio session which I was unable to do, as I'd booked too many sessions for this and other projects, so another member kindly stepped in to book it.

because we were making music videos other band members with editing skills and cameras were going to film our studio and practise sessions to create the videos.

Everyone had clearly practised their individual parts as we were able to spend a lot of time playing together and tweaking our performance as a group.

We attended our studio rehearsal. we recorded instruments separately in order to get the best takes. We filmed our time there to use for the music video.

We managed to record the audio we needed for Hyper Music, but realised we'd need more time to record the other songs (she said, she said and Neon)

We decided that the time this had taken meant that we may not have time for more than 2 of our own tracks in the showcase.

I sent an email to the bee's mouth as our next option, a pub, which I knew had a projector and hosted events.

Although we regrettably acted unprofessionally with the admiral (although not through a fault of our own) we communicated as a group and decided not only on another venue but also a back up plan that would rely on only our ban to put on, guaranteeing our event would go ahead whether we had a venue or a live stream.

By sending the audio I also provided us with a second song for our repertoire, whose video we are making an audio with visuals, to add a new artistic element and dynamic changes in our style to add to the watchability of our two music videos

My role was to promote the event on social media, once Alex H and Alex W had figured out how to work the livestream with screen sharing to allow us to host the event rather than simply play one music video after another.

Above is a collation of all the promotion I did for the event; I sued pictures of us behind the scenes to add intimacy, as well as anticipation for the event. I also made it clear what time the event was, and made it easy for people to tune in and even add their music videos last minute, with an instagram post with where to post them as well a YouTube link people could follow directly to our livestream.

The above video shows Alex H and I hosting; we made sure to speak about the last video to inspire audience engagement, and also wore fun sunglasses to add entertainment to the event.
