This majestic bird is often perceived as a 'phoenix' in China. It's a protected species called the Golden Pheasant.

Here's an anecdote: many experts have been troubled by how to increase their population. However, an old man from Shanxi province saw this bird and believed it to be a phoenix. He began bringing them food while herding his sheep. Day after day, the birds grew attached to him, and eventually, they bred into a large family of 40 Golden Pheasants. You can imagine the experts' faces when they witnessed this—they were absolutely in awe.😄

A very distinct and adorable animal indeed. But, did you know platypuses are one of the very few venomous mammals? At least, this applies only to the male platypuses which carry stinger spurs with venom in their hind legs (it's not deadly to humans though).
