They all traded buffalo hides for Iroquois* for bead shells. And when the Europeans came, some Miami people became specialists in the fur trade. The 'raw' materials that were traded were copper, obsidian, and an unusual chert and stone.

They were originally adapted in Green Bay, Wisconsin, but because of conflict that made it to where half of the tribe moved to Indiana and the other half was in Oklahoma.
