Have them sort the pictures into groups based on the beginning sound. Differentiate by using more challenging word pairs for advanced students.</p></li><li><p><strong>Phoneme Isolation</strong>: Play a game where students listen to a word and identify the middle or ending phoneme (e.g., What is the ending sound in "cat"?). Provide visual cues for students with exceptionalities.</p></li><li><p><em>At-Home Activity:</em></p><ul><li><p><strong>Phoneme Hunt</strong>: Encourage families to go on a phoneme hunt at home, identifying objects or words with specific sounds.
