a) I have assigned 3 social justice movies in the class.
b) The social justice in the news assignment is where you and your team of 2-3 people will collaborate and choose a news article that has a social justice issue attached to it. 

For both: Together, you will create a padlet asking discussion questions, so fellow class members can write their comments. More information on this presented in a video. The due date for the presenters is Sunday night the week it is assigned. 

The rest of the class has until the next week on Wednesday at noon to respond to the questions, and the presenters will need to be actively monitoring and responding to the padlet.

This entails presenting the key
points in the book chapter on PowerPoint (including short video clips or any media that helps explain the key points) and creating a handout for the class for students to keep. There is a sign up sheet on google docs where you can sign up for which presentation you want to make.
