Christianity refers to religions that recognize the existence of only one God. At the same time, God, according to Christian beliefs, has three hypostases - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Christians believe that God created the world and people, and also sent Jesus Christ to earth, who unites divine and human nature.

Jews consider the Jews to be the chosen people, who must convey divine truths to all people. Christianity and Judaism share some common beliefs. However, the Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Son of God and atoned for the sins of mankind, but are convinced that each person is responsible for his own sins.

In Judaism, the knowledge and fulfillment of all the laws of the Torah is declared mandatory. In particular, Jews regularly read the Torah, observe special requirements for food and drink (kosher), and refrain from working on the Sabbath.

Icons and any images of God are prohibited in Islam. Muslims strictly control their lives, pray regularly, pay alms and strive to make a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their lives. Once a year in the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe a strict fast - they do not eat or drink from sunset to dawn.

Dig Lent is the commemoration of Jesus’ fasting 40 days in the desert, so Jews don’t have anything exactly like that.

Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and heightened devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. The fast (sawm) begins at dawn and ends at sunset.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, is one of the most sacred times for Muslims. It is the month in which it is believed that the Holy Qur'an was sent down from heaven "as a guidance for men and women, a declaration of direction, and a means of salvation."

The time leading up to Yom Kippur is a time of repentance (though this has a different meaning in the Jewish tradition), asking forgiveness of God and of people we may have harmed or offended, prayers for repentance, and preparing ourself for judgment by our creator, and circumspection, etc.

The actual day of Yom Kippur involves extreme self-denial (26 hours of not eating or drinking, not wearing leather, not indulging in marital sex), though it’s a much shorter and more complete self-denial than in the Lenten tradition.

According to the holy book and the sermons of the Guru, wearing a turban is strictly mandatory for every Sikh believer. Sikhs must keep their heads covered at all times. In addition, they are not allowed to cut or dye the hair on their heads.

To distinguish the members of this community from the rest, Gobind Singh asked all Sikhs to observe the five articles of their faith, called the five Ks, and to carry these items with them at all times:

Kesh is uncut hair that needs to be hidden under a dastar (turban).

Kara is a round steel bracelet symbolizing the strength and integrity of a person.

Kirpan is a ceremonial blade that emphasizes combat power and is used only to protect the weak or for self-defense.

Kanga is a small wooden comb symbolizing cleanliness and order.

Kachkhera - knee-length cotton shorts for demonstrative chastity and readiness for battle.

The word veil in Arabic means a curtain or a hiding place, an obstacle. The veil can also refer to the Islamic dress code itself, in which case it conveys the level of modesty displayed by a Muslim woman. In the Islamic tradition, women wear scarves (hijabs) that cover their hair and frame their faces as a form of modesty in the presence of men who are not close relatives. Depending on the country and the region's Islamic influence, this wearing of the headscarf and other loose clothing, also called the hijab, may be legally mandated or considered a woman's choice.

As a dress code, the hijab can require anything from a simple headscarf to a full body covering that allows only eye slits.

What Ital eating entails varies somewhat, but there are a few universal rules of Ital living. To understand Ital you must first understand the spiritual concept of Livity. Livity is a belief that an energy or life-force, granted by Almighty Jah (God), flows through all people and all living things. The primary goal of adhering to an Ital diet is to increase liveliness; what is put into your body should enhance Livity rather than reduce it. Although there are different interpretations of what specific foods acceptably fall into an Ital diet, the general principle is that food should be natural, pure, and directly from the earth. Therefore many followers of an Ital diet avoid meat because eating an animal would work against Livity elevation.
