We, the youth of ASEAN and its partner countries, demand that governments in the ASEAN region empower youth and related parties to be able to develop and ensure this region is free from non-traditional security threats. The government can form new economic patterns and ecosystems that pay attention to environmental sustainability and avoid all activities that contribute to climate change. The COVID-19 pandemic has also taught and set an example for us to be more serious and concerned about the threat of health and infectious diseases. It is necessary to establish a regional health hub that can oversee across hospitals, doctors, and health workers in ASEAN, so that the prevention and resolution of health problems in the region can be done integrated. For the youth, education and inculcation about state sovereignty, the importance of diplomacy and cooperation, as well as fulfilling the needs of each individual, are important to ensure the ASEAN region remains safe from threats. This can be manifested by forming institutions or organizations that can form youth as promotional agents to prevent new types of threats. Through certain forums and organizations, youth are ensured to be actively and directly involved in monitoring the policy-making process, providing advice to the governments, and collaborating with youth in other countries in ASEAN.

Singapore has a total of 81% of internet users, while the LAO PDR is 22% (ERIA, 2020). This access gap must first be solved together. Infrastructure development for the advancement of the internet such as building telecommunication towers in remote areas, is very much needed. After that, people who are living in the remote areas can have a good connectivity to the internet. So, the next thing that needs to be emphasized is the education about new forms and patterns of transactions, namely the digital economy. Through their respective local governments, education about the digital economy and e-commerce must target every individual so that they can switch to online transactions immediately. Furthermore, they can be introduced to an ASEAN-owned e-commerce platform in which there are sellers from various countries in the region. After getting to know this platform further, apart from shopping, they can also become sellers and be actively involved in the digital economic activities.
