Water spots around china are unfortunately polluted with chemicals, litter, excrement, dead animals, and waterborne diseases. Aridity in northern China is also a huge problem, making the water demand increase. 
Irrigation is a very common farming technique used in China. The problem is, less than half the water withdrawn for irrigation actually reaches crops because of leaky equipment and rapid evaporation. China uses their contaminated wastewater for irrigation. Most of the water is used for irrigation on farmlands, so the lack of suitable water has decreased by A LOT. And  to make matters worse, if China doesn't have clean water to grow grain, then the food demand in China will most definitely increase as well. Water pollution is affecting China and people's chances of survival in that country. Poisonous water, less water, less food, more dead animals, more dead people.
