Ensuring that your ELL students in particular don't feel isolated by using and fostering relationships in the classroom can be super important. Make sure you students are bonding and building friendships in the classroom will support them throughout the school day and year.

My BWV has a foundation to love all people because we are all made in the image of God. This foundation supports my teaching of diverse populations because I view all people as made in the image of God and deserve to feel His love. John 13:34-35 is a verse that comes to mind when talking about this.

Unique gifts

I believe that all people have God-given gifts that are good and perfect. Since I know everyone has gifts, and skills, and can contribute in different ways that God gave to them, allows me, to teach with the help of every student. When you see every student as someone who can contribute in a unique way, I'm allowing other students and people to learn from them as well as myself. James 1:17 explains this well.

Continual learner

I believe that we continuously learn throughout life. When you recognize that the students aren't the only ones who are learning, you become more understanding and relatable. Since God is the only all-knowing being, we are learning from Him throughout our whole lives. Proverbs 19:8, says to learn all you can and keep that learning.

Together-ness

Though we have differences, we are all made in the image of God and are one. Galatians 3:28 explains this verse well. Though we are very different and unique to God, we are all made in His image and meant to work together.

Dedication is a promise to me and to my students. I want to be dedicated to my students. By this I mean, never giving up, pushing them, and fostering relationships. I want my students to see that I am by their side and want them to grow academically and as a person throughout their life.
