Dad turned on the TV and when the weather reporter said the temperature in Georgia was in the mid-seventies. Dad tried to cover it by getting off the couch while also coughing loudly but he failed. later in the book Dad told Kenny and Byron to scrape the ice off the windows. Byron Caught his lips stuck on the window and Kenny told the whole family. Mom gave Byron's head a snatch and his lips came of the glass.
