what we know
- star fish are getting sick.
- arms pulling self apart .
- it is spreading across the west cost but the worst is in California .
- SSWD is not contagious between star fish .
-that it is not globe warming
what we still need to know
-what are they eating that makes them sick
- are there some star fish that cant get it ?
- why dose the disease make the arms come off ?
- are people polluting in the bay and is that causing it?

What we know:
-The limbs crawl away from the body.
- Sea Stars have a
- It's not contagious between sea stars.
- The area's with global warming have more sea star wasting.
- Stays along the west coast- Alaska to north Mexico.
-Seems to be worse be big cities.
- First Lesions appears and then taking over the Sea Star causing limbs to fall off and the Sea star to eventually dies.
-When you boil water all living things die.
-When the virus was boiled and put into the Sea Stars they didn't get sick
-The bacteria could be part of why they are getting sick.
What we still need to know:
- Do bacteria and Phyto-plankton multiply faster in warm water?
-Does that effect the SSWD?
-Is it like cancer?
-How do they eat sea urchins with out getting poisoned?

. They have a small white dot called lesions apears
. And the Lesions causes them to loose limbs
. Arms pulling self apart

I learned that if you take off the tissue of a infected sea star and boil the tissue and put the tissue on a non infected sea star the non infected wont become infected but if you dont boil the tissue the sea star will become infected

~The limbs of the star fish will crawl away from the body and then that happens to the rest of the limbs.
~Our group thinks that when you boil the tissue then the virus dies because it needs the living cels to survive.
