His father's friend was basically bullying Eddie and his father just laughed about it. So Eddie wound up going to his mom because he couldn't go to his father. This helps one reflect on there past traumatic moments when they couldn't go to someone they thought they had trusted.

This helps one reflect on even if you regret the sacrifice made, remember that it wasn't made for no reason there was a good reason it had happened.

Eddie had then realized he had died and was in heaven. He had no clue what was going on and was told there was rule in heaven. The blue man didn't want Eddie to be afraid of him, and how they used to know each other when Eddie was little. Later on in the chapter it revealed Eddie was the cause of the Blue man's death. This helps one reflect on how they view people, and not to judge on one's looks. It also helps one reflect on accidents can happen even when you don't know or can't remember.

Eddie had thought he saw a child crawling in the fire so he went to go save the child but was stopped. Later on Eddie had caught on fire from him stepping in a puddle of oil and was shot by the Captain in the leg because he didn't want him dying int he fire for somebody who was not there. This reflects on one to be careful on how you sacrifice your life, and don't be stupid about it.

The Captain had wished he had seen the world without being apart of the war and only the war. He had wanted to again see what it was like before he had to start killing people. This helps one reflect on how they will chose to live there life. They may change what they are currently doing to see the world in a different perspective.

One can reflect on this by being aware on there surroundings and not run into the street while cars are coming. Someone can also reflect on watching there kids so they don't harm or get harmed.

Eddie's father had saved Eddie's mom from being raped by Mickey Shea, and later on in the story Eddie's father wound up also sacrificing his life to save Mickey shea from drowning in the freezing cold water. This can help one reflect on how they think they know somebody, but in reality they are genuinely a sweet person who would help people in need.

One may think there parents are great parents until they read this and realize there parents had done the same or similar thing to this.

When he was in battle he had set a hut on fire that she had been hiding in so she didn't get hurt. This helps one reflect on there actions and be more aware of the well-beings around them.

That everything you do in life is for a reason no matter if you thing you supposed to be there or not. This helps one reflect on when they are feeling low about themselves.
