Ramadan-the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which strict fasting is observed from sunrise to sunset.

Desires-a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen.

Obedient-complying or willing to comply with orders or requests; submissive to another's will.

Quran-the Islamic sacred book, believed to be the word of God as dictated to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel and written down in Arabic.

Night of power-Night 27 of ramadan is the “night of power”, allah (god) revealed to the prophet muhammad the quran islam's holy book “as guidance for the people”

Sawm- most commonly understood as the obligation to fast during ramadan 

Iftar- Breaks their fast with an evening prayer, proceed to have festive nighttime meals called iftars
