My full name is Kenzo Bryanna Clarette A. Lu but people call me "Bree". I am 17 years old and I was born on September 24, 2005 here, in Davao City and I'll be turning 18 this year (yikes). I enjoy writing, filmmaking, dancing, and singing...anything that involves the arts, basically. 

I am currently studying in Ateneo de Davao University Senior High School and I am in Grade 11 studying under the STEM - Pre Science strand and I am from section Nakaura.

Some of the things that I enjoy are Poetry. I write so much, I could fill up a whole notebook in a day. Writing poetry is what channelled my interest in songwriting and producing music. I may not be instrumentally inclined, but I am told that I have a good ear for what sounds good and what doesn't. I enjoy genres like RnB, KPop, KRnB, Pop, Alternative, Indie, and sometimes Metal when I'm feeling like my inner angsty-14-year-old-teenager. 

I hope to travel around the world and meet new people to make connections. He's my boyfriend. He makes me very happy and like my friends, he also inspires me to do good in school and he also inspires me to be the best version of myself.

Gene is an artist and his medium is his stylus and his drawing pad. He does digital art and is very talented in editing. Just like his passion for art, he teaches me that there are more to life than just academics and goals but there is also something we can live for.

This person inspires me to be more analytical when it comes to my writing. I enjoy writing about things that I care about and things that I love and I am able to channel that through my club activities.

We are both in the Ateneo Filmmakers' Society club; I'm a writer and he's an editor and we are passionate about producing films together.

I plan on working in the medical field to pursue my grandmother's dream of becoming a doctor. When she was my age, she didn't have the luxuries I have today, and fulfilling her dream for her is my way of saying thank you for raising me and taking care of me while my mother was out working for me as well since she had me when she was only 21 years old. 

Succeeding in this field would not only be my "thank you" to my grandmother but it would also give me a sense of purpose. While I enjoy filmmaking, I also want to be able to help out other people in need. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, it is important for me to use my voice to advocate for what is right. One of the principles in my life is to always stay authentic in everything that I do. 

Another principle of mine involves my religion. I am a Roman Catholic and in my opinion, there is some stigma when I introduce my religion to other people. This is because of their personal experiences with my religion not being the most positive experience they have had and I respect that because I also agree that there will always be a certain part of my religious community that also have their own principles in life however, I choose to be an inclusive and open-minded Christian because I know that only God can judge me and other people's view of me shouldn't matter.

When I dance with a certain group, I make sure to dedicate my performance for a good cause. My performances always have an underlying message behind it. An example of one performance wherein a message is behind it was during the Christ the King Fiesta 2022. I was one of the dancers from the Jerusalem cluster in the Sayawtenista event during the CTK Fiesta and our performance was about the Fighting adversities against the elitists. 

I also use writing as a way to address my feelings. I have written countless literary pieces, from poems to short novels. I enjoy writing and I am able to use this as an escape from the real world whenever everything just feels too much for me. Which leads me to the last superpower that I have and that is Composing songs.

My ability to compose songs came from my love for writing poetry. As a young woman, myself, I advocate for women's rights to equality. It is important to me to support other women and be supported by them as well. 

Time and time again, women have been belittled and degraded and "it's always the woman's fault" but in my opinion, other people will see it the way they want to see it and it's time for that to stop. Among the Digital Citizenship Elements, there are many that come in handy for me especially that I am in need of a lot of them. Digital Access, Digital Communication, Digital Literacy, and Digital Wellness are the elements that I find myself using on a daily basis. 

However, if I were to choose one that is most important to me as a person and student as a whole, I would say that Digital Wellness is the most important to me as it is also a reflection of what I want to be in life. As a STEM - Pre Science learner, studying to become a doctor, I value the importance of well-being. 

I aim to take care and do no harm to other people and as a part of Gen Z, it is also my responsibility to do no harm in the digital world. Social media is very malleable in terms of spreading information and it is one of my top priorities to be able to share accurate information about certain topics about wellness like mental health, what a certain disease is like for the people who have that disease, or even awareness on sex education.

What tasks have you done in the past that required searching information for you to complete them?

As a student, I go through so many occurrences wherein research is highly encouraged and needed especially now that I am in Senior High School and I have topics like General Biology, Practical Research, Media and Information Literacy, Reading and Writing Skills and so much more that requires research at some point. 

An instance wherein I would need to search for information is when I am making a research paper. In Practical Research 1, we are taught about topics that will help us achieve in making a Research paper. Another instance would be when I am making a Science Investigatory Project. This requires me to search for reviews of related literature and methods that other researchers have used to achieve the desired results at the end of the experiment. There are so many things in school that require us to do research and these are one of the reasons why searching for accurate information with a credible source is important.

As a part of Gen Z, I am very well connected to my social media roots as it is where I look for entertainment, knowledge, and even news. But when it comes to the matter of news and current events, I really make sure that if I share news on my social media, that it will be accurate and well-sourced. If I'm going to make a change in the world, I need to make sure that I prove the people who think that all my generation is doing is sharing things that are incorrect. I want to be able to represent my generation in a way where we are taken seriously and we are heard with an open-minded head.
In my personal experience, I haven't really heard anyone correcting me with the news that I have shared but if there were someone to point that out to me, I would gladly thank them and correct my mistake. I would prefer to have someone call me out than have people see me differently for that mistake. 
My relationship with social media now, is more strong than ever in my opinion. I can confidently say this because I know that I am socially aware and I try my best to keep it that way.

I have experienced circumstances wherein my work was not recognized or at least be credited and I have experienced circumstances wherein my work was stolen and my artistic property was used under someone else's name which is highly unethical. I do not want this to happen again because this is hard work that was published yet it is treated poorly.
