In psychology, celebrate the seven stages of development in the indigenous culture<br><br>-study of minority groups in the media, with a critical look at stereotyping and biases toward missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>- Examine specific events using aspects of historical thinking&nbsp;<br><br>- Law: discussing human rights and talking about BIPOC "Human Rights Champions", explicit examples of these individuals' achievements<br><br>-In CHC 2DV/0 , study how marginalized groups and BIPOC soldiers contributed to the war. Discuss events of discrimination against these groups in the military. Also discussing Canada’s history of discrimination since Confederation (Chinese Head Tax, Komagata Maru, The Black Oklahoman Farmer Migration).          <description><![CDATA[<div><br>- Having students reflect on their histories and personal culture (yes)<br><br>-students will be researching food from the francophone world and then describing their personal favourite ethnic food, which will be shared anonymously on our back wall and I will figure out how to share them all virtually too<br><br>- allowing students share their own experiences and stories (Today we discussed why students' families may have chosen to settle in Canada)<br><br>- leverage platforms like Flip grid to have students share their lived experiences and perspectives<br><br>-Citizen storybook (Civics): complete choice in choosing who and what they want to represent as a Global Citizen, while providing wide range of examples for students to choose and explore if they wish<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- listen to conversations, pay attention - yes!!<br><br>- use conversation and discussion participation to inform grade<br><br>- modifying content and lessons when I give students sondages/ surveys as we do the lesson/unit<br><br>- Student profiles at beginning of course to learn about their learning style, needs, interests, and experiences.&nbsp;<br><br>- End of module/year Google Form asking students if they felt different groups were represented, if they had opportunities to share their lived experiences and perspectives<br><br>- will add above suggestions to my year-end surveys<br><br>-using interactive pieces like Jamboard or Poll Everywhere to allow students to participate and share ideas without necessarily identifying themselves if they don't feel comfortable sharing their ideas<br><br></div>]]></description>
