I used to love putting 10p coins (when they were massive) into this arcade machine. Scaling building, eating tower block residents and fighting off the military. It was one of the few arcade games where you can play co-operatively so always begged to go arcades with my brother.

Here was a snapshot of 80s school life, complete with a shaggy-haired bully, bespectacled swot and cane-bending patriarch, doling out lines should the player (Eric) step out of line. There was an entire school to wander freely around, interacting with its other inhabitants while attempting to activate numerous wall-mounted shields. Completion of this far-from-easy task confused the teachers, helping Eric to extract clues as to the combination for the headmaster's safe which contained his damning school report. Perhaps the most ingenious move by the game's designers was to include the option to rename all the characters, allowing players to add a real-life frisson to this digitized version of the so-called best days of your life.

I'd say it was more a platform than a game. Users can create their own games and the entire Roblox universe is monetised by Robucks the games' IAP (In App Purchase) currency.
You. can pretty much play any type of game here. A lot are rip-offs from big-budget console games.

The game has a huge online following and game vlogers that socialise new games. It has the largest user-generated online gaming platform, and over 15 million games created by users and is the number 1 website visited by kids and teens.

There's even toys, that contain codes to unlock skins and items.
