-Application is done retrospectively, meaning that the work has already been completed
-Work can be seen from the city walls, and lies within proximity to Boothman Bar,  both grade I listed building
-Area was previously occupied by a timber structure and soft landscaping
-Located in a conservation area
-Was previously submitted and amended

Proposal: 
-to add iron fencing and a stone patio area in the beer garden

Comments:
-Being a retrospective application, shows disregard for due process, but not misunderstanding as previous application regarding freezer will show
-has impact on view from York city walls, a grade I listed structure
-doesn't disrupt or detract from original architecture
-removal of new additions would damage historic character
