There are other materials that we can use to replace them.
It´s estimated that every day a human produces 1 Kilo of garbage, and the destiny of that garbage is the sea, rivers, streets, etc. and most of the times that garbage is not recycle. In that way, we can reduce the damage if we don´t use plastic bags or we recycle them. 
I completely agree that we can use an other kind of material, which are eco friendly. 
It´s it my belief that the use of plastic bags is the result of big oil companies around the word.

Nowadays, we have to confront a terrible overuse of plastic and this is a serious problem around the world that is causing a huge damage to our soil, oceans and rivers. 

In my opinion, I would say that the overuse of plastic has been out of control since the last fifteen to twenty years. In the past the "boom" of using plastic created a new culture of plastic, to simplify and avoid extra chores, like washing dishes. Since that culture began, plastic has been terribly harming nature around the world. 

I would love to express my concern to the public to please try to be more conscious, because this problem is already out of our hands. Maybe if we are more conscious and try to make people more aware, it might be the last opportunity for the world to recover. It is time to take action and change our mind and invite others to do the same. The planet needs our help just now.
