She worked 10 years at the New Fairfield company, and later served as a tax collector. From there, Suzanne Lancey spent 6 years as an office manager and staff accountant at Johnson & Company in Plymouth, Minnesota. In addition to recordkeeping and performing year-end and quarterly tax statements, she prepared agendas and recorded minutes for monthly board of directors meetings. Suzanne Lancey joined New Hope Crystal Plymouth Swim Club as a senior/age group swim coach in 2002 and worked 5 years at the program before joining Twin Cities Swim Team as business manager and head age group coach. She has also coached at Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minnesota, and owned Phoenix Swim Team. At present, Suzanne Lancey is the director of competitive swimming at New Canaan YMCA, where she has been a multiple-time nominee for the Fitter & Faster/ASCA Age Group Swim Coach of the Year. She is a Level 5 ASCA Coach and regularly attends the ASCA World Clinic.
