Over 90% of eruptions and 81% of earthquakes happen within the ring. This is because of the Fault Lines (edges of tectonic plates) located throughout that area. Since most of the worlds fault lines are at sea, this can lead to other natural disasters, such as tsunamis. A lot of these areas known for earthquakes and tsunamis, including the ring of fire, are called Subduction Zones. this areas mark the edges of tectonic plates notorious for colliding  and causing natural disasters. This cycle seems endless and is impossible to stop.
