I can't decide on my favorite movie, cartoon, or food, let alone a book! But, for this task, I chose 'The Selection' as my favorite. I never really liked reading, probably because I didn't read books that interested me. It was from this book that I developed a great love for reading and got hooked on Kiera Cass's series. I like the structure of the story because it balances the narratives with the dialogues. The story is romantic but full of twists, and you can't wait for the protagonist to make up her mind. In short, I highly recommend it!

I don't have a favorite book, but this books are fantastic!

The Lord of the Rings is a fantasy story written by author J.R.R. Tolkien, divided into three parts: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. This trilogy is complex, centered on Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who inherited the One Ring. The artifact was forged by Sauron, the Dark Lord, who lived millennia before the story began and wanted to make the entire world his kingdom.

This trilogy is much more than just a story, it has many details and makes you feel like you are inside the story, it is very exciting. It's much more than just an adventure; is an epic journey full of complex characters, stunning landscapes. This books is definitely one of the best books in the world!

I’ve always loved Coraline, both the movie and the book. It’s a work that ages like fine wine and continues to remain relevant, especially this year, as it celebrates its 15th anniversary and regained worldwide popularity. The story follows Coraline, a young girl who discovers a secret door in her new home that leads to an alternate world. This world initially seems perfect but hides a darker side. Through her journey, Coraline learns important lessons about courage and the power of making choices.

I appreciate this book because it blends fantasy, suspense, and a meaningful message about confronting our fears. Coraline reminds me that even when something seems too perfect, we must have the courage to face the unknown. It’s a story that remains compelling and thought-provoking, no matter how much time passes.

Well, I can’t choose just one favorite book, but the A Song of Ice and Fire series is among the most wonderful books I’ve ever read.

A Song of Ice and Fire is a series of books written by George R. R. Martin, which began in 1996. So far, five books have been published: 1. A Game of Thrones; 2. A Clash of Kings; 3. A Storm of Swords; 4. A Feast for Crows; 5. A Dance with Dragons. However, there are still two more books needed to complete the series: The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring.

This universe captivates me with its complex narrative, full of political intrigues, well-developed characters, and surprising twists. It’s a richly constructed and magnificent world, something hard to find nowadays. If you haven’t read these chronicles yet, you’re missing out!

I don't think I have a favorite book, I love everything I've read. Generally, I prefer romance book, but this one touched me as soon as I read it. The work “Girls on Fire” is a thriller, written by author C.J. Tudor, who also wrote “The Chalk Man”. I received this book from a friend, and I confess that I wasn't that excited to read it, but as soon as I read the synopsis I was intrigued by the story. The book follows the protagonist Jack and his daughter, who move to a village. It is narrated by them and a third person, a mysterious man who we only discover as the story unfolds. In general, the book aims to show the disappearance of 2 girls over 30 years ago and also a search for someone that is narrated by a mysterious man. I found the narrative extremely good, and I love how the author deals with each character separately. I advise everyone to read this work, especially for those who are sick of clichés.

Among the countless books I've read, I couldn't possibly choose just one favorite, but "Scythe" by Neal Shusterman was truly a delightful read that made me understand how wonderful it is to be a reader. The book throws us into a dystopian future where death has been eradicated, yet life has become a mere shadow of itself. We follow the journey of Citra Terra Nova, a young woman trapped in a timeless world where the absence of finality has created a profound apathy. With each page, we are drawn into a labyrinth of paradoxes, questioning the true meaning of existence. Citra, like a beacon in the darkness, shows us that death, however feared, is the coin that gives life its value. Her quest for purpose is like an emotional rollercoaster, leading us to reflect on our own existence.

The Bible is nothing more than a book of letters from a father who is in love with his children and wants to give them eternal life.

I'm not much of a reader, but this one makes me read more every time I open it. I love all the parables in the Bible, some of which seem to be talking about me, even though they were written many years ago. I think what makes me want to know more about the Bible is my desire to be close to God. Many people still don't know God, and as Christians we have a duty to take Jesus to them, not that he can't do it alone, but because it's a command for us to "go and make disciples". There are also people who read the Bible a lot in order to find some error in it, and they read it more than 10 times in search of something unreal or faulty, because in fact there are no faults in God's word, so these people can read it up to a thousand times and they won't find what they're looking for. Well, I hope I've clarified my love for this book.

The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides is my favorite book because it captures both beauty and sadness in a unique, unforgettable way. The story of the five Lisbon sisters, as told through the memories of a group of boys who admired them, is hauntingly poetic. The way Eugenides writes brings out the mystery of adolescence and the tragic beauty of youth, and he creates a sense of nostalgia that stays with me. The novel's unique perspective, blending collective memory with emotional depth, leaves an impact that lingers. For me, it's a story that resonates deeply, making it a favorite I return to often.

I never really liked reading, I started to develop this habit in recent years, and I started with books about one of my favorite films, "Twilight". I know it's a book that tells a very generic and clichéd story, however, I really like this specific book, because in the others that follow I have a more controversial opinion. The film of this book was, strangely enough, part of my childhood, which led to my interest in reading it. The book itself tells the story of Bella, and the consequences of her love for a mysterious vampire, Edward, which leads to unrequited love, challenges, escapes, and possible fatal impacts. In short, I really like this book, and I highly recommend it!

It's difficult to choose a favorite book, but if I had to choose one, it would be 'The Little Prince'. I've never been a big fan of reading, but this book completely won me over. The story made me reflect on friendship, love and the importance of appreciating the little things in life. The simplicity of the illustrations and the depth of the Little Prince's messages transported me to a magical world and inspired me to be a better person. The pilot and the little prince's journey through different planets is an incredible allegory about adulthood and the loss of innocence. Striking phrases, such as 'The essential is invisible to the eye', make us think about the true meaning of things. The friendship between the two characters is touching and shows us the importance of emotional bonds."

Without a doubt, the book I most enjoyed reading was the greatest Best Seller in history, The Holy Bible. As well as containing historical facts, it contains books on romance, action, wars, the creation of the world, orders, rules, biographies, family trees, and my favorite theme: the end of the world, because I believe that if its Author is right at the beginning, so is He at the end.

The Chronicles of Narnia is a book series by C.S. Lewis, that I´m completely in love with since I was a child. It starts with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, where four siblings: Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy discover a magical world called Narnia through a wardrobe. In Narnia, they meet Aslan, a lion who represents good, and must help defeat the White Witch, who has cast a spell making it always winter but never Christmas.

As the series continues, the children return to Narnia in different times, each time defending Narnia from bad things. In Prince Caspian, they help restore the rightful king of Narnia. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is a sea voyage full of personal growth and moral lessons. The Silver Chair and The Last Battle further explore themes of faith and the ultimate battle between good and evil.

One of my favorite aspects of the series is the character of Aslan, the great lion, who is not just a symbol of power and majesty, but also embodies deep Christian themes of sacrifice, resurrection, and the triumph of good over evil. In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Aslan sacrifice himself to save Edmundo, even if he had betrayed everyone, including his own family.

Don Quixote was a nobleman, the son of rich parents who throughout his life lost their wealth, and he no longer had that many possessions and the most precious thing he had were his books. Don Quixote spent hours, days and weeks immersed in the most diverse literature in search of a solution to his concerns. What he didn't know was that what he caused most were problems, instead of alleviating them.

He loved reading chivalric stories, as they were strong stories of heroes who defeat villains in honor of their maidens, they also contained adventures, suspense, stories of love, peace and justice. With all his hunger for these materials, he ends up becoming obsessed, and ends up going crazy, deciding to become a knight-errant, like in the books he used to read.

He sets out on his journey and takes with him his faithful squire, Sancho Panza. The great adventures that take place are nothing more than those imagined by Don Quixote. Treating monks like sorcerers, and fighting with windmills as if they were evil giants, he feeds the idea that only fearless men like him could defeat them and that it was in his hands to bring happiness to Spain.

Once I received a collection of three short stories by Edgar Allan Poe (american writer known by his gothic horror stories, poetry and also by creating the detective genre): "The black cat", "The pit and the pendulum" and "The premature burial".

I got keen on reading this stories, 'cause they're so macabre and full of suspense, something I'm really into to, but the first story (The black cat), had my especial attention and, after finishing the reading, my love.

It talks about a child that loved animal, but as he grew up, the man turns into an alcoholic, who is driven by his addiction and tortures his cat, Pluto, killing him. So, after some days, a stray cat that looks almost exactly like the cat he murdered - except for a gallows mark on its chest - follows him home and leads him to become even more irrational.

This book is amazing; it tells the story of Iris Pêssego, a high school teenager who loves watching soap operas with her elderly neighbor and enjoying pizzas from Oregano's. Iris goes through a mental turmoil and a long process of accepting herself as a lesbian. She falls head over heels for Edra Norr and throughout the book, she tries to deny this to herself but can't. Even if you’re not part of that universe and perhaps don’t share any of her lived experiences, it’s impossible not to identify with Iris Pêssego . She is totally ordinary and mundane, and I think it’s incredible how that can captivate the reader. Elayne writes so well, oh my gosh!!

My favorite book is "The Lightning Thief" from the series "Percy Jackson & The Olympians," written by Rick Riordan. The story follows a teenager who discovers he is a demigod and the son of the Greek god Poseidon. Percy is accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt, and he sets out to find the real thief to prove his innocence. This book is full of adventure and action and has a strong connection to Greek mythology.

"The Decline of the West" is a complex and profound read, offering a critical view of the history of civilizations and Western culture. In the book, civilizations go through natural cycles, where, after a period of great growth and flourishing, they inevitably enter a phase of decline. This idea contrasts with the belief that human progress is continuous and upward.

The work is fascinating for its interdisciplinary approach, connecting history, philosophy, biology, and even art. Spengler not only studies historical events but also observes how art, religion, politics, and science reflect the soul of a civilization. He sees art and culture as expressions of a civilization's "soul," and this view is reflected in his analysis of the West, which he believes is drifting away from its spiritual and cultural roots.
