Artemis's mom - She has become sort of delusional and ill sense Artemis's Father left. She refuses to leave the lounge they both used to hang out in. She is unaware of Artemis's plans.

Holly - Captain Holly is a LEP recon fairy. Does not always follow orders. 

Foaly - Centaur, created all the fairy tech, one of few people to joke with Commander Root.

Commander Root - Very temperamental , Does not like Holly that much. 

Cudgeon - Full of himself

Mulch - Dwarf, likes to dig, pickpocketer/criminal, lost magic.

- Fairy's and other magical creatures live underground in technological cities. Their they have society.

- They go to find a man who leads them to a sprite/fairy who they make a deal with to get pictures of their book.

- They go back to foul manner and use the computers to translate the words. 

- Captain Holly a fairy living in one of the underground cities is an LEP recon officer. Troll brakes loose, onto surface world. She has orders to just observe but she realizes their is not enough time for the troops to arrive so she disobeys orders and eliminates the troll as a threat.

- Story switches to Captain Holly's perspective. Troll is on the loose she is on recon despite previous mistake. Deals with troll herself despite Commander Root telling her not to. Successfully deals with troll.

- Book speaks of the fairy ritual needed to restore their magic. "Hot" Holly must complete this ritual.

- Artemis spends a long time calculating where the ritual will take place and he stakes out in a hideout. Before long Holly arrives. He and Butler end up capturing her.

- LEP command is super worried so they mobilize and Root scouts ahead towards holly tracker. Artemis has put the tracker as a trap and it explodes in flames. Luckily Root survives.

- They find the Fowl Manner and surround it. Artemis knows they are there. 

- Root goes into negotiate with Fowl, is unable to anything very successful. Fowl is demanding a ton of unmarked 24 carrot gold ingots.

- Holly uses bed to make crack in concrete to place acorn in that she had in her boot. She regains her magic and escapes the sell however she is not aloud to leave the house.

- Root ends up sending in gold and Artemis trades half of it to Holly for a wish along with letting her go, and she agrees. 

- Then using the timer stop around the manor they launch a bio-bomb which destroys all life within range but Fowl figures out a way to survive by becoming unconscious.

"The Ritual" - The ritual is what fairy's due to restore their magic. It consists of finding specific trees that are ancient and planting seeds there. When you have completed this Ritual you are "Running Hot".

Foaly the Centaur has created the base for most Fairy technology. He is super smart.

Time stop - a time stop stops the time in a certain area for a certain amount of time making it so that to the outside world it stays perfectly still. 

Council - Fairy goverment that makes rules and stuff.

Bio bomb - within a certain area destroys all life.

Goblins - fire summoning creatures who don't like dwarfs.
