I chose this grade level because it was one, I have not put much thought into, and I want to explore other grade levels. As a kid, I always was confused about facts and opinions. Also, I would always hear "well that is your opinion." I think everyone's opinions should be recognized and understood. Three Words: I really enjoyed part 2 for this lesson plan. It mentions that the students would give feedback to others.  Although it says objective feedback, I would allow students to use their opinions as feedback and demonstrate how we form opinions based off situations. Although, I am tweaking this lesson, I loved the ideas I received from reading the plan. 


News Plays: For this lesson, I would allow students to write and create their own news report. One student will be required to use opinions during their parts, while the others state clear facts about the news they are reporting. I would explain to students that news should always be facts and not another's opinion on things. They are to report the information and not their opinion. Maybe, allow students to guess who the opiniated news caster was at the end of their performance. 

Puppets in the Drama Classroom: Lastly, I loved this idea! Who doesn't enjoy seeing kids perform a puppet show? This can allow students to be creative and write their own puppet show. Students must include what an "opinion" is and show a character expressing his opinion. Lastly, they must include another character respecting their opinion. Then, feeding off of my first lesson plan, I would allow students to give their feedback using their opinions on their classmate's performance.
