Question A 

Racial Segregation was present in many parts of U.S.A’s society following the end of the civil war. It was commonly seen in schools, but was in fact occurring in all public spaces, such as restaurants, bathrooms, the cinema and even on public transport like buses. Racial Segregation was seen up until 1964 when the civil rights act was signed, ending Racial Segregation not only schools but in other public places across the state. 

 

b. Racial segregation occurred in many areas of the US some of them being Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi those areas refused to treat blacks equally or give them rights. 

 

c Racial segregation is still here today as you can see from the BLM movement after the police treated them badly and separated their actions from white people. It did change after a while, but it started up again when George Floyd was murdered by a police officer even though he was unarmed and didn’t do anything that bad of a threat which sparked the looting and burning. 

E.  Racial segregation at public education has been illegal for 65 years in the United States. Still America public school still stay separate even with consequences especially students of different colour.

1.      A Civil war is a war in its own country where one part of the country fight’s another part of the country.

There is the moon called titan because it is the second biggest  moon in our solar system

 

c.        There are many sporting teams who have adopted the name of Titans. List 2 of them, and include a team or mascot picture. Explain whether it is an appropriate name for these teams (think about who the Titans were, what features they had, and what they had to do). 

A.      According to https://www.britannica.com/, the Titans in Greek Mythology were the children of the Greek gods, Uranus, Gaea, and their descendants. Their history was that there were 12 titans, Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, Cronus, and the sisters, Thea, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. Their leader, Cronus, was rebelled by Zeus. Most of the titans sided with Cronus. Zeus and his brothers and sisters were defeated after 10 years of battle known as the Titanomachia. Zeus then hurled down the titans and imprisoned them in a cavity beneath Tartaus.

True Stories

1.
Research “true story” movies ever made (use IMDB or Wikipedia). What patterns do you notice over the years? (number of films made, topics, genre )

Give reasons to try to explain these patterns

I notice that most of these true story movies are either Drama, Mystery or Crime.

The reason why most of them are drama and mystery is because most true stories are less exciting. Filmmakers will try their best to make a true story movie interesting so they can get the attention of the audience. 

2. True story movie steps 

1. The first step a filmmaker has to go through is they have to interview the person and anyone that was part of their experience. 

2. They then have to take notes on the characters feelings and experiences in order to make the movie interesting. 

3. Finally the filmmaker then has to put all of the information he has gathered together and make a movie that is based on the person's story.

The difference between a fictional movie and a true story is that a fictional movie is based on someone's imagination, not facts. The similarities between these two things is that they are both telling a story, they both have meaning and they both have characters.

   Is a “true story” completely true? What parts of a “true story” text are likely to be true and what parts are likely to be fictional? Explain why you think this.

The main ideas of a true story should be true but people make up other parts to make it more entertaining. This usually still tells us lots of information about the story but we still enjoy it.

Jaws, The Hunt for Red October and A few Good Men are movies that not many people know are true stories.

The style of music was classical

Soul music has its roots in traditional African American gospel music and rhythm and blues and as the hybridization of their respective religious and secular styles – in both lyrical content and instrumentation – that began in the 1950s.

c.        What social purpose did it fulfil? (Why did people like it, and what was the message in the music?) 

it was music created by African Americans to bring joy into their souls and to help deal with the issues that were happening
