This week, we learned about equivalent fractions and how you can make them by multiplying/dividing the denominator, and numerator by the same number.

On Wednesday, we did Science and made Egg Racers (Cars) that we will update and modify in later lessons. Another thing we learned and talked about was how we know there is energy in a object, or living thing. The four main things were: motion, sound, light and heat.

we also played land,air,sea. and when the coach said land you jump in front of the line. when they say air you jump and when you say sea you jump behind the line. We also played a game called army navy

Reading Workshop

In reading workshop this week we picked out a fiction book to read and jot about. The two things we mainly jotted about was external/internal tension and Quirky character traits.

Writers Workshops

This week in Writers Workshop we made this Padlet, and learned about Austins Butterfly.

Austins Butterfly is about a little boy in first grade, he tried to draw a butterfly for a school project. But his drawing didn't really look exact. His friends gave him honest advice about his drawing to help him do better. In the end he made six drafts and the end drawing was really good. This showed us to keep trying and never give up.(•‿•)
