  • Timur, 18 February 1405 in the Otrar region of Kazakhstan on his way to China 69-year-old died due to a gun barrel. His funeral was buried in Gur-e Amir in Samarkand.

  • In his deathbed Timur said:

  • . My sons, I shall never read, remember and practice the will and the regulations which I have given you to ensure the welfare and prosperity of the nation. It is your duty to find grief for the troubles of the people. Protect the poor, do not leave the poor in the oppression of the rich. Be your guide to justice and goodness. If you want to reign long like me, try to draw your sword carefully, then use it skillfully after taking it. Be very careful not to sow the seeds. Some of our bridesmaids and your enemies will try to exploit this. But in my will, I showed you the way you govern, the main principles. If you stick with them, the crown won't fall.
