Eye contact is dying out. People don't look into each other's eyes during a conversation anymore and, for me, this is not OK. I'd try to preserve eye contact because I think that it makes people feel like the other one cares about our feelings and what we are actually saying.

Even though a fairly large amount of people still write notes by hand nowadays, it is slowly becoming a less and less used method as the time passes. With the advance of technology, the range of people with access to electronic devices such as laptops and tablets just rising and the fact that many education institutions now allow students to bring these devices to the classroom, digitally written notes are turning more and more popular among youngsters. I, personally, wouldn’t try to preserve hand-written notes because:

1. It is much easier and faster to write notes digitally;
2. Digitally written notes can be easily and quickly shared among people;
3. The prevalence of digitally-written notes would extinguish the need for notebooks, and therefore help preserve the environment

Landlines used to be very popular and the only way to communicate when you were distant from someone, apart from letters which took days to get to other person. At first, landlines were very expensive, after that, every single house had them, but with the creation of the mobile phone they started to disappear, and, nowadays, there are a very little quantity of houses that have them. Currently, landlines aren’t needed, if you have a mobile phone, but they’re important anyways. If you’re phone breaks down, or in an emergency, you still have a way to communicate, that’s why I believe they should be preserved.

Nowadays, we use smartphones and we can text anyone, anytime, the next generations won't know what's a letter and how it was wonderful. A pamphlet, by definition, is a small, unbound booklet that is used to advertise or provide information on a single subject. They are mainly used for informing rather than direct selling. However, this small unbound booklet can be quite harmful for nature. The pamphlets are usually given in paper which means that several are printed before given or asked for, which means that in the end they can (and will) go to waste, especially if they are about an event for some specific date. A bunch of those papers are meeting the trash sooner or later, even if the owner are interested, once they gather all information they need, the paper became unnecessary. The worst problem is that a part of this unbound booklet are thrown to waste on streets, where usually they are given from a person of the company. Personally, I think that they shouldn't be preserved, people can gather as much information on the internet as they could reading the pamphlet. Even the photos of that are usually required in the pamphlet demand a certain use of paint, that go to waste. In the internet it doesn't, and the photos are much more defined. We have the internet in our excess, let's use it!

Outside Physical activity

Outside Physical activity is being extinguish. Nowadays, people rather go to the gym than go for a walk. As the days pass by, I see the rich society seeing outside Physical activity as a sport rather than a way of transportation or a way to lose weight . For example, they would rather to go to the supermarket by car than walking and then they would go to the gym. That influences the emission of carbon dioxide and leaves us wondering, wouldn’t it be easier to lose weight by doing routine activities by walking?

One thing that is for sure disappearing of our daily life are coins. We don't see and use as much coins as before, and this was caused by the increase of the use of credit cards and online paying tools, such as PIX. Also, coins aren't produced in the same quantity as they were before. This could be a problem for supermarkets, for example, that aways need change, and one more thing is that some people don't accept receiving coins anymore, as it's annoying to car around. Another problem is that some people collect coins, and as a result the money don't circulate and we have less coins. I have been seing that more and more, family reunions, a time where you really talk with your parents, watch a movie together, play a board game, have sadly being less common. Parents don`t have time to speak with their childreen, because they are too busy doing their stuff, like working. Sometimes, maybe are the kids who are too busy playing on-line games. But I think we should preserve this "tradition", because it´s a time where the whole family members can improve their friendship and their laces, and I think this is extremelly important.

In my opinion, ancient languages, such as Latin, should be preserved, as it was the basis of romantic languages that we still use today, including Portuguese. Every word has a root and understanding where words came from can help you learn! For example, arachnophobia comes from arakhne (spider in greek) and phobos (irrational fear in greek). Knowing the root makes it easier to remember definitions.

I seems that in the past people used to give more attention to languages than now. For example, people thought that learning French, German and Spanish was really important, but nowadays, even though learning other languages is only getting easier due to technology, most of us just think about speaking English besides our native language!

Throughout the past thousands of years that humans have lived on Earth, we have been using natural resources, animals and basically every living thing that we could reach and use in our favor, even non-living things! As the years went by, we just increased this action in such a great amount, and even though we have already discovered that this has an enormous impact on nature and life itself, and discussed it several times in several different ways and places, almost even rubbing it onto people’s faces, we haven’t stopped destroying the things that are literally keeping us alive. And, I know that eventually everything must come to an end and we cannot stop that from happening, but why are we acting like we can’t postpone it, even for a little bit?

I am not okay with this and I’m pretty sure no one is, or at least, no one should be. We create more litter, we produce more carbon, we make products that are slowly killing us on a daily basis. Soon we won’t be able to live on Earth anymore, and that’s our fault. Us humans believe that our goal in life is making more, non-stop. But sometimes we need to stop, take a step back and realize that someday, if we don’t stop making and making we won’t have any reason to do so, any reason, any resources, any people, any life, any planet. Nowadays, especially in the new generation, people tend to "Americanize" our culture with billboards, radios, books, TV shows and commercials full of the American dream, being rare movie theaters that expose national films. We can attend it as a replacement of our habits and culture, which is obviously a great threat to our present and future identity as a country. One incontestable evidence for it is the side-baring of national holidays, festivities and history, as government verb is being diverted to other issues and the devaluation of the culture cabinet. In major cities, cameras monitor every street corner, move and step. In smart homes, cameras and voice assistants keep an equally vigilant watch while smart cleaning robots do their job. We are slowly losing our privacy without even notice.
But what can we do to prevent that?

I don’t know that much about jazz, but I think it’s pretty underrated.
